4 universities, endless possibilities and the excitement of getting to do what you love in the future. After the campus tour at berkeley, we were given free time to have lunch anywhere in the area.As well as the university, there were endless restaurants where we could have lunch. If you have never been to berkeley It's in the middle of a city pretty much, it reminded me of downtown san diego but a little sketchier. We started to make our way to these foreign streets, and there we were two hungry oompa loompas (Charlie and the chocolate factory, because we are short people) seeking for food. Right when the tour ended we asked our guide if she knew any good places to eat, and out of all the places she mentioned all, the only thing that caught my attention was sushi.
It was one of those times where that one food craving that you have is not a want is a need, A MUST!
Me and my best friend Verenice are like the same person, we crave the same things, think the same things, and often times we find ourselves saying the same exact things on the same exact time, so as soon as we separated from our tour guide we both looked at each other and said sushi? Sushi. We literally looked for 30 minutes for an open sushi place because for our bad luck all of them were closed, we were about to give up when we ran into Reina and asked her if she could give us directions to a sushi place. We followed her directions and TADAAAA there it was, finally a japanese restaurant where we could satisfy our cravings!
We ordered our sushi and impatiently waited for our order to be done. When the waitress served our sushi we started eating and I don't know if it was that I was so hungry, or excited, or happy but the sushi was like heaven in my tastebuds. As we walked back to UC Berkeley I felt so grown walking through a city with my bestfriend alone, I couldn't help but wonder what my college experience would be like and I definitely can't hardly wait
